My father, my brother, and I spent a really great day at the Art Gallery of Ontario. The gallery and some nearby buildings had just been renovated and the new construction is pretty wild and modern, making a strange contrast with the original architecture.This big blue cube is the back of the gallery. It makes a really strange contrast against the old downtown park.The Art Gallery of Ontario has a really interesting of modern art, which the security guards don't like you taking pictures of.Frank Gehry, who designed the new additions to the gallery, created an amazing space at the front called the Galleria Italia. The interior is all natural wood bathed in natural light. The "tree within a tree" sculptures inside are also really fascinating.

Here is Kafka, the younger of the two, looking very curious about the camera.Raffy and Kaffy are both Rag Doll cats and they are wonderful. They are extremely playful, and very tolerant of being picked up and handled....really a perfect combination for a cat personality.

The cat's bright blue eyes match the rest of my family.I would never have imagined how much more interesting it is to have 2 cats in the house rather than just 1. The cats cuddle together, chase each other, and sometimes get into prolonged play battles. Its nice to know that when the people aren't around, the cats aren't alone and bored.They like to keep a lookout over the back yard, just in case some little critter wanders by.While I was visiting my family, my grandfather came up from the USA for a visit. It was great to see him again. Here he and my dad enjoy reading out in our garden, which my mom worked so hard to create.

The main event of the trip was my good friends Bryan and Elaine's wedding.The ceremony was very informal, relaxed and joyful. You could see that they were having a really wonderful time exchanging their vows.They are presented for the first time as a married couple.Here they are cutting the cake.

In a hilarious wedding game, the groom and all the groomsmen were blindfolded and told to each a McDonald's ice cream as fast as they could. The winner would get a kiss from the bride. As soon as the contest started, all the groomsmen were unblindfolded, and we all got to watch the groom struggle to stuff that ice cream into his face.After a costume change.Before the wedding, Bryan organized a group of his close friends to form a band, the Brylaine's. We rehearsed around 10 songs that we played during the wedding.Me, Bryan and his brother, Eric, back up Bryan's family while they sing a traditional Chinese love song for the wedding.

After dinner the Brylaine's rocked a set of 4 songs that got the crowd up and dancing.We played: "Mr. Brightside" by the Killers, "With of Without You" by U2, "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi, and "Don't You Forget About Me" by Simple Minds.I have to say that getting together with close friends, rehearsing, and then playing a gig, was a really fun experience. We need to do that more often.
