One of the first sightseeing trips that me, Anthony and Michelle made during the Olympics was to TianAnMen Square. The tickets allowed us to sit in any of the various courts and watch any of the scheduled matches. We saw both Williams sisters defeat their opponents in the first round. Our first sporting event of the Olympics came when we picked up scapled tickets for preliminary round Tennis. The tickets allowed us to sit in any of the various courts and watch any of the scheduled matches. We saw both Williams sisters defeat their opponents in the first round. Our little group then return to the Forbidden City to spend a day walking through the entire palace. Here Anthony poses inside the Forbidden City.The crowds were a bit larger at the the Forbidden City because of the Olympics. But still, Anthony got this picture of me and Michelle away from the crush of people.After visiting my office on Wangfujing St. we wandered over to the Wangfujing market where all kinds of fried meat on a stick is available to sample. Here we have some of the more exotic fare, large centipedes. For the very brave eaters they have huge black scorpions.

After visiting my office on Wangfujing St. we wandered over to the Wangfujing market where all kinds of fried meat on a stick is available to sample. Here we have some of the more exotic fare, large centipedes.

Outside the National Stadium we saw kids playing in the fountain in front of the Water Cube, where the swimming events were held.I took some time to pose in front of this amazing looking building.On another sightseeing trip we all visited BeiHai Park. I really can't get enough of the quirky Chinese style lions and their corn rows hair style.During the ticket lottery phase I bought 2 tickets for the teams finals in table tennis. We had pretty good seats for the match between the Chinese and German teams in front of a very enthusiastic home town crowd.Me and Anthony stick our faces in front of the teams as they stand o the medal podium. China won the match. No surprise there.The flags go up as the Chinese national anthem plays.

It was really a blast to see he best ping pong players in the world play for the gold medal in the Olypics.As we came into the valley on our next sight seeing trip we caught this amazing view of the Great Wall. This was my second time to visit the Great Wall, and after my first experience I had to return to Simatai with Anthony and Michelle. This is Great Wall site is farther from Beijing than some of the others, but it gives you a great chance to hike up the wall, out in the countryside, away from the bigger crowds.Me and Anthony get ready for a particularly steep stretch to the next guard tower.It takes about 3 hours to walk up the wall to the top of the ridge. From there you get amazing views of the valley below and the Great Wall snaking through the mountains out into the distance.

It was great to share it with my family, because pictures, as amazing as they are, don't do it justice.
